Obituary of Violet Carol Gallion

Gallion, Violet Carol 

Age 98, of Maplewood, passed away on January 19, 2023. She was born in St. Paul, MN on January 17, 1925 to the late Olga and Rudolph Zaspel. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Millard and her siblings. She is survived by her children, Greg (Betsy) Gallion, Paul (Debbie) Gallion, Vickie Iverson, and Karen (Kris) Borreson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.  

Violet was a pianist and church organist for many, many years. She loved reading, sewing, crocheting, knitting, cooking, and dogs. She also enjoyed bowling for a number of years. Thank you to goddaughter, Paige Lincoln, for all your help and support. Also, a special thank you to neighbors, Ken and Kay Unertl, and Carol and Joe Stacey. Your help and friendship were very important to helping her stay in her house and make it to 98 years old. Additionally, a heartfelt thanks to staff and caregivers at Good Life Senior Living in Hugo, MN. A Memorial Service will be held on May 17, 2023 at Lakeview Lutheran Church (1194 Co. Rd. C E, Maplewood) at 2:00PM. The family will greet visitors one half hour prior to the service. A dessert reception will follow. Memorials preferred to the Salvation Army.
